From 1999-2007, There was a significant upward trend in male and female addictions to drinking, vaping, and drugs. (Mostly through the opioid epidemic).

From 2007-2014 there is a significant downward trend which has continued decre asing in 2026. (Many teens are getting educated and aware about the causes of addiction).

As stated in the infographic (Left) about high school seniors, the addiction trend is decreasing rapidly compared to data compared compared to data for 2013.
